Erie Home & Garden Expo returns to Bayfront Convention Center
If you’re looking for home improvement ideas and solutions, or gardening and landscaping tips, the Erie Home & Garden Expo likely will have something for you.
The expo, which includes booths with local contractors, builders and landscapers, returns for its 24th year next weekend, March 25-27, at the Bayfront Convention Center.
Mark E. Concilla, president of Erie Promotions & Expos, Inc., said that more than 120 vendors will be offering products and services at this year’s expo. With primarily regional vendors booked, the displays include windows and doors, decks and gazebos, furniture, roofing, landscaping and more.
Earlier this monthErie RV & Sport Show Expo offered a little bit of everything outdoors
“This year we are featuring the ‘Backyard Bungalow,’ a solution for those that are running out of space and need to add living space to their homes,” Concilla said in an email. “A backyard building will be on display showcasing a home office, workout area and a children’s playhouse.”
The backyard building is custom built by Lee’s Storage Sheds of Centerville, and the space will be landscaped by Afton Landscape Supply and Johnston’s Nursery, both of Erie.
There will also be giveaways, and Concilla said the Penn State Master Gardeners will be building a children’s garden as an educational area for kids to learn about the environment and gardening.

A list of the vendors and the floor plan for the expo, which initially started as a home show inside the Millcreek Mall, can be viewed at eriepromotions.com/erie-home-and-garden/vendors.
The expo was canceled because of the pandemic in 2020 and returned last year to limited attendance and vendors because of COVID-19 restrictions. The expo typically drew around 8,500 people before the pandemic.
“We are excited to finally get back to normal, and our vendors are looking forward to this year with no restrictions or mandates to manage,” Concilla said. “Our goal is between 5,000 and 6,000 people for the weekend. Other events we have been hosting in Erie and western New York have realized attendance close to our 2019 numbers. People definitely have spring fever and want to get out of the house.”
